As we approach the summer of 2020, we will still be uneasy about the direction of the Rotary relationship between members. Although the "hands in space" mantra is undoubtedly an integral part of our routine There's no doubt the trust in Rotary is growing, and more members are making contact with each other. But Rotary has changed. There is still a level of uncertainty moving into summer 2021. It remains to be seen how the personal connections Rotary participants valued during the past will remain. While the motto of "hands-in-space" is certainly a component of our daily routine It is clear that the confidence of our members is increasing as are the more direct relationships. Rotary is also changing. Rotary is a social network which fosters lasting friendships. The outbreak has forced us to enhance our technology techniques. We maintain our business on the internet, while introducing a new volunteer and social activities. We've embraced the newest opportunities and combined them with our pre-pandemic habits to make an optimistic future for Rotary! It was encouraging to learn that 75 percent of Rotary clubs intend to keep their "business regular" activities. During the summer, many Rotary members were out with their families and friends, working on various tasks, such as beach and river clean-ups, litter removal and beach cleanups. Watch this video 1. Like so many Rotary has provided me with an extremely reliable group of people who are like-minded who have formed genuine relationships grown over the past 20 years.
