Ryan Davis's death took place while "Young Sheldon," Season 5, episode 6 "Money Laundering, and a Cascade of Hormones," was in production. Davis, a member of the department's sound team who worked on many notable TV and movies and films, was an incredibly respected professional. As a mixer in the remastering process for "Young Sheldon", Davis masterfully blended audio elements seamlessly. In retooling each sound element, Davis worked on details like Adult Sheldon's voice-over narration that gives the show an emotional touch of nostalgic. The season 4 premiere episode "Young Sheldon," Davis gave Amy and Sheldon's sons their names. Davis has been able to contribute his talents to some amazing prequel episodes throughout his professional career. Davis added throwback music with humorous dialogues, suburban noises and spectacular football matches in the seasons 2-5, to give the show the feel of a real-life show. Particularly, the spin-off lacks a laugh track, leaving Davis more room to explore the more natural elements of the show. But, after his death it was not without a little bit of confusion at first about his identity and role in the series.
